A cutting-edge review analyses 48 randomised clinical trials split into four disorder categories.
The results of a new systematic review analysing 48 randomised, controlled trials (RCTs) split into four disorder categories (neuropsychiatric, neurological, somatic and visceral), show that PEA is effective for treating pain and improving general wellbeing, especially in the higher bioavailability ultramicronised/micronised (micro-PEA) formulations.
PEA also has positive effects on the biomarkers of many diseases, thus helping to slow their progression.
