The reduced levels of PEA and other molecules observed in this study suggest <strong>a possible \u201cendocannabinoid hypofunction\u201d in children with ASD<\/strong>, consistent with findings from animal models.<\/p><h5>Future perspectives:<\/h5><ul><li>PEA and its analogues may serve as <strong>stratifying biomarkers<\/strong>, useful in identifying clinically relevant subgroups within the autism spectrum.<\/li><li>PEA emerges as <strong>a biological modulator of interest <\/strong>in the study of mechanisms underlying ASD, thanks to its central role in regulating inflammation and neuronal plasticity.<\/li><\/ul><p>This marks an important step towards<strong> a deeper understanding of the ASD neurobiological mechanisms<\/strong> and towards increasingly focused scientific research by Epitech Group\u2019s on the use of PEA \u2013 in its unique ultra-micronized active form \u2013 in CNS disorders.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d8227cc sc_fly_static elementor-widget elementor-widget-spacer\" data-id=\"d8227cc\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"spacer.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-spacer\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-spacer-inner\"><\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-11af03c sc_fly_static elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"11af03c\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><em>* Aran, A., Eylon, M., Harel, M. et al.
