Osteoarticular Project

Joint diseases (arthrosis in primis) are characterized by degenerative phenomena, originating primarily by cartilage and, over time, involving other components of the joint, and are associated with symptoms like pain, swelling and joint stiffness.

The most affected sites are the loading joints (knee, hip) and small joints (i.e. joints of the hands). Their alteration causes limitations in daily activities, compromising – even heavily- the quality of life.

Quite recently it has been discovered that there is a low grade chronic neuroinflammatory process at the base of these joint disorders.

This process is fuelled by a progressive exhaustion of specific lipidic substances that, in the joint, are naturally produced to facilitate the regular metabolism.

With Osteoarticular Project, Epitech Group intends to engage in the management of the control over the neuroinflammatory process that sustains joint degenerative diseases, to safeguard the quality of life of those who suffer from it.
